Immunization and Student Health History Forms Due

New York State deadlines for completion of immunization documentation are strict and, if not met, can affect your ability to attend class and to move into your residence hall.  For further information or questions, please contact the Student Health Center at 212-443-1000 or email: health.requirements@nyu.edu.

Fall Term Payment Due

To ensure students maintain their class reservations, the amount due must be paid by August 8 (via eSuite in Albert). Various payment options, including payment plans, are available.  For further assistance, please contact the Bursar at 212-998-2806.

Go online to begin building your schedule of activities for Welcome Week. Don’t worry, you can add and revise as much as you like as you learn more about the many programs available at www.nyu.edu/welcome.

The Commuter Overnight Retreat

For students who will live off campus, this retreat provides an opportunity to visit NYU and meet other commuting students, Commuter Assistants, and student leaders prior to Welcome Week.  Registration opens July 10.  Deadline to register is July 28.

August 12

Last Day to Submit an NYU ID Photo

If you haven't submitted a photo of yourself, today is the last day to visit photoid.nyu.edu and submit one to be used on your NYUCard, which is required on campus. Avoid the line on move-in day; submit your photo online in three easy steps!

Airport Shuttle Reservations Deadline

The Department of Public Safety, in partnership with SuperShuttle, provides airport shuttle service between NYU Residence Halls or the Kimmel Center to LaGuardia and JFK International airports. The service is available around major University breaks. For reservations, costs, dates, read more >>

NYU Welcome Day / Residence Hall Move-In

This day includes Residence Hall Move-In, parent welcomes, and an Information Fair.  New undergraduate students and their family members are invited to stop by the Kimmel Center for refreshments, information, and to meet representatives from various NYU offices and organizations.

It's a great place to meet other parents and students, take a break, get a bite, pick up some free stuff, and if you haven't already, pick-up your student ID.  Shopping shuttles will also be available to local stores. Note that a number of schools and offices will also be hosting programs.

 
Parent Welcome

Parents (only) of new undergraduates are invited to a 45 minute Welcome to the University that will include an overview of the coming weeks for new students, tips for what to expect during your student’s first year, and information about how parents can best access university offices and resources. This optional program will be offered throughout the day on a first-come-first-served basis.  A similar program will also be offered in Brooklyn at 2pm by the Tandon School of Engineering.

Parents of Students of Color Welcome Reception and Panel

Parents, are you wondering where your student can go for advising, health, career, safety or general student life concerns? Then please join us for an informational panel about the resources available to students of color and international students across the university. Refreshments will be served immediately after the panel and all parents are invited to tour the NYU Center for Multicultural Education and Programs.

August 28 - September 1

Welcome Week

It’s finally here! An entire week (and then some) of more than 500 programs and social events to welcome new and transitioning students to the NYU community. Highlights include school orientations, the Presidential Welcome and Reality Show: NYU - a musical written and performed by NYU students about making the transition to college life, NYU Portraits - a performance about diversity, social justice, and service and our annual themed "Ball"  Activities are open to new students only.   Note that there are no programs beyond Sunday's Welcome Day for parents.

August 30

New International Student Immigration Documents Due

The US government requires all new F-1 and J-1 students to report their arrival to NYU. The Office of Global Services offers an online form to upload immigration documents upon arrival to the US to meet this requirement. Failure to upload documents and attend international student orientation may jeopardize your ability to remain legally in the US. Visit www.nyu.edu/ogs.
